Google has announced a new policy to delete inactive google accounts and data after two years of inactivity.. This policy applies to personal Google accounts that use products like Gmail, Drive, Photos, etc. However, there are some exceptions to this policy, such as accounts that have made purchases, have gift cards, own published apps, or manage minor accounts.

To prevent your account from being deleted, you need to sign in to your Google account at least once every two years. You can also perform other actions that show your account activity, such as reading or sending an email, using Google Drive, watching a YouTube video, sharing a photo, downloading an app, using Google Search, etc
